An Introduction

I am a Jazzercise Instructor (dance aerobics) going on 6 years of teaching.  I love what I do and I usually love the music, which is taken from all the top trending songs.  I don't love that there is so much garbage in many of these songs.  There is a lot of swearing, which is easily avoided, but what's worse is the sexual innuendo.  I have small children who can pick up lyrics faster than red wine stains white carpet.  This is why I choose to monitor each song I purchase for lyrics that would make me quail if my three year old was singing.

I know I have extremely tough standards, so I don't expect many people to agree with my assessment of songs, but I do hope to provide a place for anyone who is interested to review their lyrics and decide for themselves if they want to be dancing to that song.

  1. This is great! I am really careful about what songs I listen to and expose my children to, as well as what I use for triathlon training music. Ik forward to learning more!

  3. Thanks for this resource! I check it with every new set and it is incredibly useful! Keep up the good work! It's nice to dance to music that I don't have to "talk over" certain parts.
